The City of Henry, IL maintains and operates a network of outdoor warning sirens, designed to warn the public of impending weather and other emergencies. These sirens are mounted on poles throughout the City of Henry, Illinois.

Sirens are tested on the first Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m.
Tornado Warning: Tone is a three minute continuous tone. If needed, the tone will be set off again as the storm approaches.
Note: There is no all-clear signal. If the siren sounds again, it means the storm is closer.
NOAA Weather Radio will give an all-clear or the local television and radio stations usually broadcast the all-clear. The NOAA radio station may experience static during storms. Households should consider purchasing a weather radio.
Civil Defense Signals:
- Slow Wail: Civil defense signal that is an attack signal.
- Fast Wail: Emergency signal used in the event of a man-made emergency such as a chemical release from the local chemical plants, railroad emergency, or a possible trucking accident.
Station 5.30 AM will broadcast NOAA Weather Radio continuously unless there is an informational message being broadcast.
